Abe is taking an unexpected late afternoon nap. I think between Jeff & Abe’s hike following by chasing the cat around the yard, following by me chasing Abe with the camera, that he is plum tuckered out. Since I have a few free minutes with Abe snoozing, here are a couple pix from his afternoon photo session.

This afternoon I got out with the district ranger for a brief field trip to visit some of our grazing allotments that we are conducting environmental analysis on. It felt great be in the field. While we were there to check allotments, we got a bit distracted by the wildlife and historic features in the area.

While Abe was posing for me Jeff got away for his first spring ride along the Greenbrier Trail- now that all the snow has finally melted. We are thoroughly enjoying the ridiculous weather and looking forward to our inaugural buckwheat feed at the Maple Festival this weekend!
