Enjoying It All

The garden is in, the giraffe pool is out, and again we sleep to the hum of the fan.  It sure feels like summer.  Outside, outside, outside, that is where you will find us.

Admiring his prized balloon, just moments before heartbreak as it slipped off his wrist and floated away.

A couple weeks ago we headed to nearby Seneca State Forest for a quick camping trip.  It was crazy fun, and Abe had a blast.  Needless to say he probably put on quite the light show in the tent with the half dozen flashlights we had with us.

Caterpillar = Tentertainment.

Evenings have been insanely busy since our garden was tilled almost two weeks ago. Kenneth and his cousin generously tilled it for us- and after a double pass we had fluffy rock free soil, ready for planting.

Abe planning the garden, or more likely strategizing how to get his own tractor.

Plant, water, plant, water, plant, water.

We now have up the electric fence, and have planted plenty of corn, tomatoes, butternut, cukes, pumpkins, assorted flowers & herbs, and probably way too much squash & zucchini.  With a 30×60′ garden we thought a sprinkler would come in handy.   We quickly found that it comes in just as handy to cool down after working in the garden.

Chasing the spray.
