If anyone had asked us a couple of years ago, if we thought we’d ever find ourselves sitting in a Presbyterian church in rural West Virginia, listening to a living history presentation of Robert E. Lee, with a baby boy in our lap, we would’ve called you crazy. But here we are, and it just feels right. That is how we found ourselves on the eve of Abe’s six month mark.
Abe started the day off with a life changing event- his first taste of solids! His first dining experience was considered a success! He put the spoon right in his mouth- but didn’t get the whole then remove and have more concept. His fingers also proved a good medium for self-feeding.
A couple weeks ago we headed north to DC for a few days and to spend some time in Connecticut, introducing Abe to many friends, family, and of course his Great-Nana.
We took the train from DC to Hartford. It was a nice change of pace from flying and allowed Abe to sit in our laps, and various other places.
We have a ton more pictures from our recent trip and if Abe starts napping longer, we may get more posted!
